I’ll keep tech bullet points brief because you can just read my resume for that. In my
current role, I act as a technical advisor for Enterprise AWS accounts to guide them in
achieving their business & technical Nirvana. The guidance involves architecture reviews,
executive visioning sessions, demos/PoCs, cost optimization techniques, product feature
launches, GenAI use cases and more GenAI use cases.
In May 2019, I graduated from Emory University with a B.S in Computer Science and
Mathematics. I am fond of the city of Atlanta but I had to leave post graduation because the
southern food was just too good and I was at risk of having to increase my waist pant size
(for a second time) to accomodate.
At Emory, I must have set the school record for how many times one can change majors in a
single year. I finally decided on Computer Science after signing up for Emory’s first ever
hackathon during my sophomore year. I'm pretty sure we came in dead last during the judging,
but I loved the collaborative nature of being on a development team to turn an idea into a
working prototype within 24 hours.
During my degree, I took a variety of Computer Science courses such as: Artificial
Intelligence (before it was cool), Assembly Programming (who doesn’t like C), Discrete
Structures (I discreetly tried to hide my grade from this class from my parents). I always
enjoying the architecture and theory of the concepts I was learning versus the actual
coding. This is most definitely why I am a Solutions Architect today.
Growing up, I've held a lot of random non-tech jobs (Mediterranean sandwich shop worker,
youth basketball fill-in coach, healthcare call center agent, door-to-door solar panel
salesman) that I'd be remiss if I didn't mention here. These roles were crucial in all
aspects of my development and truly showed me the value of customer obsession and being a
team player. These roles also gave me some core memories that I'll probably write a book
about one day (working on Easter Sunday as the only sandwich shop open on campus, coaching
my high school prom dates' brother to victory, spam calling every family member in my
contacts trying to sell Solar).
